Mythbusters: 1. Myth: The A/Super A is unstable. Myth Busted: It is no less stable than any other row crop tractor. There is supposed to be a heavy hub on the right rear wheel to balance the offset engine. If that hub is not there, pass on the tractor. Operation of the tractor has a lot to do with how stable the tractor is. If you go bouncing down through a rough field on a side hill in 4th with the throttle wide open, you deserve what you get. 2. Myth: Wide front ends make the tractor more stable. Myth Busted: Wide front ends pivot in the middle. By the time the front end hits pivot limit, it's too late. The tractor is already on its side. What a wide front gives you is a smoother ride because most of the time, only one wheel is hitting a bump.
