carter and gruenewald sells a rebuild kit for the h and m bolsters, has upper and lower bushings bearings seals for about 150.00. that will tighten her up pretty good. its probable that the worm and sector gears are worn out, i replaced them a couple years ago on an m, got them from case i-h, ran about 650.00 for the set
