There is plate on the botttom of the oil pump. Over time, the two gears will wear circular grooves into this plate. To increase oil pressure, you remove the plate and have the surface cleaned up by sanding it flat. I have laid 320 grit sand paper on a flat surface and rubbed the plate back and forth until the grooves are gone.
