I kinda thought my temp guage was messed up since its the factory one. It never registered ANYTHING. So I took it out, and brought it inside and submerged it in boiling water, nothing. So I got an aftermarket one in there, that checked out fine with the boiling water test. The gauge doesnt register anything when in the tractor. The beginning of the aftermarket gauage is 130 degrees. Now I thought that maybe someone didnt wanna spend the 18$ on a new thermostat, or maybe the one in there was stuck open. Well its in there and its closed. I checked it for opening and closing properly and its working fine. I plan to check the pump for flow by removing the radiator cap while shes running. I know its not getting warm cause I can touch the head and theres barely any heat detectible. I have read in the past that if you arent working these things that they dont get hot. but not even warm? I'll admit I havent done any heavy dragging with it. If this is true that they dont get hot if you dont work them, isnt that a concern running them so cold? The tractor is mainly a loader tractor, but this soummer I plan to use my blade/scraper to work some ground flat. Should I be concerned? I know I seem kinda paranoid about this tractor, but I feel its better to be over protective, then to just run it into the ground. Thanks Guys!!

The need for fabricating becomes obvious when you go to buy any of these
