L Mack: Your engine has a serial number right under No. 1 spark plug. This will not be close to tractor serial number as 100 and 200 tractors each had their own sequence of tractor serial numbers starting at 501, while the engines from 100 and 200 shared a sequence of serial numbers. If you go to casting date codes, they will tell you day, month and year each casting was cast. Usually one to four months before tractor was built.
