I never checked mine before. Ijust came back in after looking and I did'nt see one, unless there is one on the back of the head. If there is'nt one you can put on a tank heater. Just plumb in one between the engine block drain and the temperature sending unit pickup on the head(I think it's on the head, I've haven't had a chance to look yet,I'm new at this).That is what I'm planning to do.Good luck
