using kerosene in 44 h

do you have to use special plugs or any thing to run kerosene in an h. Mine has the extra little kerosene bottle. do you put gas in this and kerosene in the big tank. from what i understand you start it on gas and switch it to kerosene once it gets hot. is this right? Do you have to let the tractor run until it dies to get the kerosene out of the fuel line because it wont start back on it?
