Alternator putting out 15.25 volts...

Hi all, I just converted my old generator to a delco 10-SI....and all is working well. However, when i connect my digital volt-meter over the battery posts when the tracor is running I register 15.25 volts....and about 12.8 when the tracor if off. I know this is a little high, but should i bew concerned about it? The battery is old, and has been leaking for a few months, but I am hesitant to put a brand new battery to the new charging system until I know it's is operating right. Thanks in advance...
