I looked at the back of the parts book in the details of assembly section. Cross referencing the numbers gets a little tricky and the description of the heads is not mentioned whether gas, distillate, etc. 8043DDY, which includes the 8043DDX head (should be same as the 8043DC you mentioned) has for the intake valve part #50706DA. The exhaust valve is #50707DA. 8776DAY, which inclues the 8776DAX head (should be similar to the 8775 you mentioned ) with #57696D as the intake valve and #67697D as the exhaust valve. I would suspect the valves are of different lengths for those two heads.
