I believe the change was made in November of 1936, HOWEVER I have a 1935 F-12 that was red, no traces of gray anywhere, and we checked EVERYWHERE! Many tractors were shipped out painted red starting around 1935. To paint yours the original color, pay careful attention to areas that most people wouldn't repaint to see what it was originally.
