Steven: Mike and George both make good points. In a similar type of situation I had a loose part in the rearend of a tractor that wouldnt fit between bull gear and housing. It came through the bottom of the housing. The interesting part on my tractor is that this happened right after the tractor had accidently up set on its side. We uprighted the tractor checked fluids an went back to work for about a minute. Hugh
