You never see one restored back that color. I think it would be nice to see one that color at a show. The odd color was used during the strike induced pigment shortages after WWII. You can see some references to the shortages in the paint committee decisions at the archives. I have never seen any cross references of the color and doubt that IH tried to keep any match for it after the fact. My understanding is that the color whas whatever you end up with from equal parts of red and yellow. I presume the red was IH 50. I don't know what the yellow was, probably the industrial yellow of the time. Guy Fay's book probably says about all that is known about it right now.
