Red, I agree with you 100 percent that is the only method that I would recommend to any one repairing a water jacket related leak be it head or block related. I have done it many times and will highly recommend it. If you are doing it yourself, you do have to remember when installing the taper pins, DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN, as this tends to spread the crack even further. Do use caution. Good luck.
