Dan, The Farmall F-20 was tested in Nebraska test # 276 with 27.84 belt hp and 20.66 db hp. It had a maximum pull of 2927 lbs at 2.51 mph. It has a 3 3/4 x 5 220.9 cu in engine rated at 1200 rpm.The list price was about $875 on steel wheels. Standard forward speeds are 2 1/4, 2 3/4, 3 1/2, 3 3/4. It has a 15 1/4 " diameter belt pulley standard which turns at 654 rpm giving a belt speed of 2610 fpm. It had a wheelbase of 140 1/2 " and the rear tread is 74 3/4" or 83 1/2" on the standard F-20 or 62 5/8" or 73 3/4" on the narrow tread model. This is with standard steel rear wheels. Several other rear wheels were optional, both steel and pneumatic, giving treads ranging from 51" to 96" depending on the wheels and model. Regular equipment was: belt pulley, pto, 40 x 6 rear wheels with 4" spade lugs, dual fuel manifold, oil filter, oil bath air cleaner, IHC magneto, regular or narrow tread, adjustable radiator shutters, heat indicator, composition steering wheel, and foot brake attachment on rubber tired tractors. Extra equipment: There were many optional wheels and attachments. Engine attachments were spark arrestor, spark arrestor and extension, muffler, or exhaust pipe extension, 5000 ft and 8000 ft altitude pistons. A low speed transmission was available as was a high speed transmission for rubber tired tractors. Numerous different size belt pulleys were available. A single lift power lift or a double lift power lift were available. Electric lighting available with several magneto options. You could get a light spring seat for operators weighing 115 to 150 pounds, a rubber uphlostered seat, right hand brake lever, fenders, adjustable drawbar hitch, or foot brake attachment for tractors with steel wheels. A wide front axle and numerous other options were available. This is just a little of the highlites, as the F20 takes up six pages in small print.
Serial numbers started at; FA 1000 32, 3000 34, 6000 35, 33000 36, 69000 37, 106000 38, and 131000 39.
