It's sort of curious--to me, at least, how IH painted most of their implements. Generally speaking it seems they painted frames amd stationary parts red, then about anything that moved, such as axles, subframes, gang frames and shielding devices blue, but then, the shanks, brackets, toolbars, and in the plow case, drawbars, were black, along with the creamy white wheels and rims, etc. I'll always remember, having set up some of it, and using it from new on, how attractive IH implements were. It seemed to me(an IH worshiper at the time) that IH equipment was just so much more attractive than other mfr's. stuff--even John Deere, which I admit, I have always admired some too. I know, I'm nostalgic old f--t sometimes.
