I know its after the fact but I've been through the same thing with regard to forgetting how to put it back together after a long break. My solution to the problem of forgetting how things go back together was a digital camera. I now take lots of pictures during the work in progress. The camera has saved my a_s a few times now. Best of luck and hang in there, you'll get her going again.
