Dad bought one, a '57 model a year ago last Sept.... Has a 42" mower under it.... It has all it can do to pull that mower in taller grass... 6-8" tall. My 982 Cub Cadet handles a 50" deck better but then it has more HP and hydrostatic transmission too... If the engine is getting tired they tend to over-heat, Thermo-syphon cooling system... No waterpump... Cooling systems need to be cleaned on most of them both inside & out.

Tractor Traction - by Chris Pratt. Our first bout with traction problems came when cultivatin with our Massey-Harris Pony. Up till then, this tractor had been running a corn grinder and pulling a trailer. It had new unfilled rear tires and no wheel weights.
