The steering box is not complicated. Hardest part will be you have to remove the front axle to do a rebuild. Be sure to replace all the seals while you are in there and double check all the bearings and bushings to be sure they have no play and replace them too if in doubt. Before you take the axle off, you may want to check the thrust bearing on the worm gear to see if it is worn. You can do that by taking the big plug out of the front of the gear housing and then screwing the worm out far enough to check the bearing for play. Drain the oil out of the gear first.
