You may find that the play is caused by a worn keyway in the sector gear and the shaft. I replaced the key with an oversized key. This requires enlarging the keyway on the shaft and the sector gear. I machined mine myself, if you don't have the equipment to do this a machine shop can. This is much cheaper then buying new parts and will probably last longer then you.
