My 400 does the same thing. There was quite a thread about a year ago on this, basically go to D21's or D23's (Champion or equilvent)if you can get them and lean down the maim jet.You are probably not working the motor enough to get it realy up to operating temp. and this gas with alcoahol seems to do that at colder tempratures. just remember to richen it up and go to colder plugs if you work it like plowing or discing.
