Justin, On my F-30 which has a very similar engine, the piston has to go down - the botton of the rod is too big to go thru the cyclinder. Push them up and tie them up with twine until you get the fourth one free and can turn the crank easily. When you put them back, push the piston without rings up from the bottom as far as it will go. This will allow you to put the rings on from above and use a ring compresser. When reinstalling the pistons, I coated everything automatic transmission fluid - it is clean, cheap and very slippery. Question to OTHERS: Can he use an F-30 Piston and Sleeve in a 10-20? It should be cheaper!
