you pretty much guessed my thoughts. Im not so cheap that i wantto just cobble the thing together, but also do not want to break the bank. In reference to oil pressure, the guage is pretty corroded as far as being able to read it, however, in a relative sense, the pressure was at the high end of the gauge on starting, then went down between the mid to low range after being worked. It uses no oil, and I only noticed smoke coming out the valve cover pipe when it was really loaded. i will give the oil shot a go, thanx.
