Derek, $2200 seems high for an MD. I bought one several years ago in Minnesota for $950. Problem was I managed to spend thousands of dollars to restore it, but it was a lot of fun. You can spend thousands on the engine rebuild if you totally overhaul it; however the challenge is finding parts. Thanks to some of the people on this board I was able to find what I needed. All I seemed to need in the end was money. It sure is a great tractor and so unique with the start of gas and then switch to diesel. People who have never seen or heard of them are so amazed when they see it start. The MD is the same as an M from the clutch housing on back, which makes getting parts for the back end easy. Roger
