You're right. The belt pulley housing cover right behind the disk the actual pulley bolts on to should be loosened and pulled out a quarter inch or so. More than likely a load of water will come out of there. Add some of the transmission oil in the pulley housing after putting the cover back. The excess will drain into the transmission. -BTD
