Farmall M Rebuild

I'm a long-time Deere man who has decided to add some new color to the machine shed, to balance out the green and prairie gold. I have purchased a '44 "M" and plan to rebuild the motor (I believe that it has a broken ring on the #2 cyl - Bottom end is relatively tight & carries good oil pres). I have some questions 1) Can the sleeves be pulled without fully removing motor from frame? 2) How stubborn are the sleeves when being pulled? 3) Is there an OTC tool number for the puller? Also, without stroking the motor, what are the best ways to get power from the red beast? I've pulled against some fairly stout "M's" with my "G" & know it's cheaper to build the "M" than a Deere......Thanks in advance!!
