As I understand it from the Puller's forum, the 440 Chrysler piston fits in the bore without the sleeve with a little honing. It'll take special piston pins, bushing of the small ends of the rods, maybe special pistons without the wristpin holes or something. I've never heard how they get the pistons to match up with the rods. The 409 Chevy piston is a "One-OFF" DOG of a design with the top of the piston at about a 30 degree angle to the rest of the piston. The 348 Chevy was about the same design. The pistons didn't even work in the engines they were designed for. Keep them out of Your M. In fact, I wouldn't ruin the block anyhow by NOT running sleeves! But It's Your tractor and $$$$$
