If you look at an original operators manual for an MTA it says Farmall Super MTA and Super MTA with torque amplifier on the cover. I know of an MTA in Mississippi that did not ever have a TA. The MTA still had the square frame like to 400's and was longer than the SM. In IH replacement decal sets(1960'S) they included both the MTA round decal and the MTA with torque amplifier decals.
