The update solved the problems with the 560 and 660 if used in normal farm service. In fact they were very well built as many tractor pullers will testify. The Farmall 460 even with the updates was somewhat marginal if the axles were set out in a wide position for plowing with the 4 furrow semi mount plow. However some tractor pullers have had very good luck with 460's.

I have had good luck with a Farmall 560. It has over 6000 hours on it and the TA, transmission, and final drives have never been touched.
