As for the type of oil, use Case/IH Hytran or equivalent. 90W gear lube is not the proper thing for a Torque Amplifier. You will have to split the tractor to see what is wrong with the planetary gear set. That is out on my SMTA, when I pull the lever the tractor just stops. steelwheelranch has a rebuilt TA unit for around $400. It is a new sprag type instead of the old style ramp and roller that had more problems. If the TA only lasted 2 weeks it sounds like you have a mechanic like we had in town. New clutch and TA in our 1086 only lasted 200 hours. New rearend and transmission lasted 300 hours. That guy was a complete idiot! Steven
