if the alt doesnt boil the battery you are ok. dont worry about the amp meter. if it does boil the battery you have probably cooked the regulator. if you have at any time shorted the hot wire it will probably do in the reg. have had that problem on many that i work on. if the battery stays up overnight you are probably ok. good farming. bob
