The 1086 actually had a higher torque curve than the 1486, don't remember the figures for sure. Some guys who had 1086's and 1486's on the same farm have claimed the 10's actually outperform the 14's. Might want to think about a 1086 as well. The 1086 was 414 cu in and the 1486 was 436 cu in, both turboed. I had the 436 turbo in my 1566 and was always just a little disapointed in that engine's power compared to dad's 1256 with the 407 turbo.
