It sounds to me as though the front of your hitch may pined up to the stationary position under the platform. Do you have a manual? You may have something missing if the aforementioned is as I stated. For plowing your hitch has round bar 1 inch in diameter aprox. 3 feet long. This bar runs from front end of hitch to hydraulic rockshaft on right of fuel tank. This bar is also adjustable as well as the adjustment you aquire with hydraulics. That controls the depth of your plow. The manual will show you if you have anything missing and if so what it looks like.
