I work for a very green farmer in Wa. state in the summer. His dad owned a JD dealership and that's about all they run, besides 4 Cats. I thought it was an appropriate name for the mix, although I don't rub it in because I have been there for 20 years and I'm treated like one of the family. My dad had mostly IH stuff with a smattering of oddball items worked in for variety. Although I never got my own farm I still enjoy working in the hills, driving the big trucks and combines. Was the 475 Cat a 3406? The KW I've been hauling with is only 310hp. Does the job but no speed machine. Haul mostly Bluegrass seed to the plant daily plus wheat/peas to home elevator out of the field.
