It should be possible with little problem, as the 666 and 686 had that very 310 cu inch diesel from the factory. I would think if any problem it would around starter- flywheel area or fan-water pump area, and I only say that because yours is gas to begin with. Manifold may be another area, for example, many of the older Farmalls manifold for gas and diesel were on the oposite side. I have owned a 656D and since operated 666D, it will increase your hp. good luck. I may not be a lot of help, but the more people that respond to these questions, the more that want to.
