Those #@&!%?+*# green things can be contrary at times. Dad had a '40 Styled B but an early one, still only had the 4-speed trans., 9X38 rear rubber, armstrong start, steering, hydraulics.... You know.... NO options! We had pulled it as much as a half mile to get the thing to pop to start sometimes. We never did actually get it to start reliably so We could use it for much. Mostly took up shed space! One cold fall day Dad had Me stop & make sure the block didn't freeze after a Really cold night. Out of force of habit I went thru the routine of opening the pet-cocks, setting the choke, disengaging the clutch and making sure it was in nuetral before I spun the flywheel over. After a half-hearthed spin, maybe 1/4 of a turn the #@*&%!$*$#& thing started! Pretty miserable old contraption really!
