Your right. There was a pigment shortage during WWII and the red IHC ended up using faded in a real short time to a dark orange. IHC later (sometime in the 50's) came out with a special paint to mix with the old stuff. Dad bought several gallons of this newer paint, almost a purple, by mistake to repaint a tractor. I thought RED POWER had an article on the changes in the red paints 2-3 yrs ago. Anyone else remember that article?
