Some 1256 tractors had axle breakage problems and I wouldn't put any axle housing on that tractor that was lighter. An area farmer here was killed on his IH tractor with no cab, single wheels when the axle broke under full load, full speed. The wheel and tire full of fluid and weights came over on him and crushed him. I don't know which tractor he owned but I think it may have been an 806, as he had one at one time. This was 5 or 6 years ago.
