The usual rim size for the H was 10 X 38 and the tire size was 11 X 38 which is the same as the 12.4 x 38. The usual rim size for the M was 11 x 38 and usually used 13.6 x 38 (old size 12 x 38) tires. You should be able to measure the rims you have now. The width is just the width where the tire beads mount. If you are going to use 12.4x38 tires, I would use the 10 x 38 rims.
