I just took everything off the transmission cover plate of my C because I am getting ready to split it just in front of the tranny to fix an oil leak that is coming out of the front of the transmission. I took the tool box and the seat off and I was amazed to find that the tapped bolt holes in the top plate to which the tool box is attached go all the way through into the transmission case! I was going to blow the holes out with air to clean them, and for some reason decided to probe with a small screw driver first. The tapped holes have no bottom!!! Wonder if all of them are like that.
