I think I have mentioned before my late father in law was that way with all of his equipment. It's been real interesting fixing some of that stuff. The Ferguson oil pan only held 5 qts. until I took it off and worked it back to hold the original 6 qts. This H held half a qt. shy. A lot of the bolt heads had been vise griped to death. Lights discarded, rims bent out of round, pto sliding tube bent so bad had to use a hammer to put it in gear, etc. The missing piece of the farm puzzle, the JD 80, sat out side uncapped for 15 years or so. Don't think she's going to come loose until someone pulls the rods loose and pops the head off. The sheet metal was butchered up with a hacksaw and pliers and a Farmhand stacker reservoir was added on the side for "capacity". The bottom line was he made things work for cheap, and he would give you the shirt off his back if he thought you needed it. So remember guys, that's why were on this earth--to right mechanical wrongs and spread "glare" (red paint) on earth!
