Galen, I used to have a Farmall 560 with the same hydraulic system. Mine would get water in the hydraulic fluid which of course turns to ice in 20 degree temps. The ice will collect in the hydraulic filter and plug it up. For a temporary solution take out the filter and clean it out real good.I changed all the hyraulic fluid(hy-tran) the 560 holds 16 gallons. You are looking at a few dollars to do this at $4 or $5 per gallon. This still didn't correct the problem. I think that Farmalls like this have such a big reservoir surface area for moisture to condense and fall into the oil. I like one of the posters suggestion to put in an additive that sucks out the moisture. I used to run this tractor everyday all winter to feed cows. It got to be such a pain, that I got rid of the tractor.
