Thanks for the comments. I'll check the compression. I hope it checks out since repair funds don't allow for minor inconveniences such as this. I suppose the lower compression would lower the hp (ignorance is bliss).Heard a new style injector tip having less volume for residual fuel would cut down on cold smoking. Heck, I'm just blathering cause you and the tractor vet are right - the motor doesn't start as easily as before the overhaul. Rats
