Micah - The carb is cast iron. When I repainted my SH I removed the carb and sprayed it with some black rattle can paint I had kicking around - probably Rustoleum or Krylon. That was 2 years ago and it still looks fine - a lot better than the corroded, blistered red/brown which is what generally happens when you paint it red, then run the tractor a few times. I know it's not "original" but I like how it looks. BTW I did my Super M the same way 5 years ago - it's carb still looks sharp too! Bob M

Tractor Traction - by Chris Pratt. Our first bout with traction problems came when cultivatin with our Massey-Harris Pony. Up till then, this tractor had been running a corn grinder and pulling a trailer. It had new unfilled rear tires and no wheel weights.
