I think those were made to compete with the Massey and Oliver V8's that were out in those days. I remember the literature on the 1566/1568 stating the V8 was for those who prefferd a different sound and look. There were only a couple of 1468's around here back then and only one now that I know of (Eastern Kansas). I'll bet the 1568 is the really rare one.
