I have not tried it on valve covers before. I don't know how it will react to the heat...It may be worth a try. There is some flex to the resin when it hardens so I don't think It will chip easily. The key is to remove all oil from the parts first. The pits and corners help the resin adhere. I think I actually took pictures of the process...I need to check on my home computer for them.
