Pigster, If you go the new OEM IH Gauge route check the thread pitch on the bushing that holds the probe into the other bushing that threads into the head. The outside threads on the base head bushing is std. 1/2"I.P thread. It's the inside threads on that one that have to match the threads on the bushing that holds the probe in the head. I did the same as you and even when I bought the new IH Gauge, I had to change the bushing in the head to accept the other bushing.//FB
