One of the jobs with which I could be trusted in my teenage days was letting the chain hoist down one link at a time while a real mechanic made sure the forks went into the slots and didn't get bent. When Mike and I put the cover back on Mr. Haney we didn't have a hoist. Holding it up one on each side, there wasn't any way one of us could lean over to see where it was going. We put four wooden wedges near the corners, set the cover down on them, and slowly pulled them out while we peered underneath. It was a lot easier to line them up than I expected.
