When you depress the clutch pedal, after there is about one inch clearance between the clutch pedal and the tranny housing you should start to feel resistance. The initial resitance you feel up to the firs inch, is just the spring that pulls the clutch pedal back against the transmission housing. After that first inch, you are then depressing the clutch springs. I hope you have not put the Lift all Unit back in yet! If it is still out, then get down under the tractor with a light and look up in there while someone pushes in the clutch. (without the tractor running) you should be able to see the throwout bearing contacting the clutch levers. With the clutch all the way engaged, there should be 3/16" (going from memory) clearance between the clutch levers and the throw out bearing. If it is more than that, you need to adjust the rod at the clutch pedal, or maybe the clutch levers. The clutch levers should be set so that all three contact the throw out bearing at the same time. If you had the clutch rebuilt at a shop, they should have set them for you. Hope this helps let me know what you find. Also, I assume you have a manual and have all the parts in there correctly, including the clutch release carrier, etc.

Elliott said while this
