I always have to laugh at people trying to back boats & trailers where the Mrs. is Out directing traffic! Doomed To Failure! Our corn crib had an "Inside Elevator" and was set-up to drive thru to unload oats, corn & beans. In later years We didn't "Drive Thru", We Backed-In from the front uphill. I got PLENTY of practice & can still back 4-wheel wagons idling in reverse with the Super H anywhere I want to go! without slipping the clutch. I guess it was just expected You could do that stuff well growing up on a farm back in the 60's, as well as double-clutch to shift up & down the straight cut 5 speed without clicking a tooth in the transmission of those old FARMALLs, cultivate for days without end, mow, rake, & bale hay, and keep track of hog chores needed without being told to check feeders or water tanks. Played Little League Baseball 3-4 nights a week too! I could never understand Coach restricting the City Kids from swimming on game day because it was too tiring for them to play in the pool with all the cute girls, but It was O-K for Me to make 1000 bales of HAY with a crew of THREE in an afternoon?
