I have a early 63' it has a generator, not an alt. also the tack is just that, a tack. it doesn't show speed in each gear, also it has 16.9x38 tires not 18.4x34 so this will tell you if it is an early one also you can tell what yr. by checking the serial numbers.
Mine is GAS so it uses about 5 gal. per hour pulling a plow. At least gas around has dropped to just over a dollar. You will like the tractor. and Huh? What? yea I use ear plugs BUT they told us ol' boys too late,
